First of all, I hope that you and your family is in good health. Despite the current situation, which prevents us from being physically close to our relatives and friends, there will be opportunities to spend time together with even greater joy. Also, I want to thank every mother, father, student and those who have been working in the activities from this blog during April because our blog was created during the social distancing period to offer our students the opportunity to continue developing not only their skills in the English language but also their digital ones. Those who sent the video, can watch it in the corresponding category.
According to our authorities, at first this period would last only March and April so that we can prevent getting sick from the virus. However, in recent weeks, the period has been extended until the end of May to prevent new cases in our community. Therefore, we have decided to continue contributing to our students’ learning of the English language in the blog while we help develop their cognitive skills too.
By consequence, the following information is aimed at clarifying some doubts you may have:
- Starting new week, you will find Unit 3I (vocabulary and activities), which corresponds to the month of May.
- The activities will be published every three or four days, depending on the group.
- It is not a requirement to send evidence of every activity of the month as we are aiming at developing our learners’ digital skills (some activities are done over the Internet, others are copied in the notebook and the others can be done with your gadget: computer, laptop, Tablet, iPad, or even the cell phone).
- I can confirm that all activities in the blog are planned to contribute developing your children’s linguistic and affective needs, and that the expected learning outcomes are taken from the National English Program in Basic Education (NEPBE).
- Regarding the evaluation, I urge you not to worry. The objective of this blog has never been that of giving you a score, but rather creating the opportunity of the continuous learning. Once our authorities inform us what to do about it, we will let you know.

Antes que nada espero que ustedes y su familia se encuentren con buena salud. A pesar de que la situación actual nos impide estar físicamente cerca de todos nuestros familiares y amig@s, ya habrá tiempo para compartir nuevos momentos con mayor alegría. Aprovecho también para agradecer a los alumn@s, madres y padres de familia que se han ocupado en realizar las actividades del blog durante el mes de abril, ya que nuestro blog se creó para ofrecer a los alumn@s la oportunidad de continuar desarrollando sus habilidades en el idioma inglés al mismo tiempo que desarrollan sus habilidades digitales en estas semanas de distanciamiento social. Aquellos que enviaron su video, lo podrán encontrar en la categoría correspondiente.
De acuerdo a nuestras autoridades, al inicio este periodo duraría los meses de marzo y abril para evitar contagiarnos del virus. Sin embargo, en semanas recientes, este periodo se ha extendido hasta finales de mayo para prevenir nuevos casos en nuestra comunidad. Por lo tanto, hemos decidido seguir contribuyendo al aprendizaje del idioma inglés de nuestros estudiantes por medio del blog y así contribuir también a su desarrollo cognitivo.
Por consiguiente, para aclarar algunas dudas que tienen, hago de su conocimiento lo siguiente:
- A partir de la próxima semana podrán encontrar las actividades y el vocabulario de la unidad 3I, correspondiente a mayo.
- Las actividades se publicarán cada 3 ó 4 días, dependiendo del grado.
- No es necesario presentar evidencia de todas las actividades trabajadas durante el mes, ya que el esfuerzo que se está realizando es también para contribuir al desarrollo de las habilidades digitales (algunas actividades se realizan en internet, otras se copian en el cuaderno y unas más se pueden realizar en el dispositivo a su alcance: computadora, laptop, Tablet, iPad o incluso el celular).
- Reitero que todas las actividades del blog también están planeadas para contribuir al desarrollo de las necesidades lingüísticas y afectivas de los alumnos; y los aprendizajes esperados están alineados al Programa Nacional de Inglés (PRONI).
- Respecto a la evaluación del tercer trimestre, les pido no preocuparse. El objetivo de este blog durante estas semanas no ha sido asignar una calificación, sino de crear oportunidades de aprendizaje continuo. Les informaremos que procede tan pronto como nuestras autoridades educativas nos lo hagan saber.
